Job Summary and Mission

As a Starbucks manager, you will be accountable for the success of the technology products and services delivered by your team. This includes support of financial systems for Anaplan and Hyperion Planning applications, amongst other supplemental financial reporting systems. The role will manage a team of professionals, who will lead daily sustainment activities and will support optimization of ongoing interactions within, between and outside these core systems.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform detailed review, design and development and implementation of accounting and finance systems (both manual and computerized), system documentation and procedures.
  • Focuses on identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for project work
  • Possess accounting and finance knowledge and work closely with those business teams
  • Play a key role in ensuring systems operate effectively
  • Manage a team of 3-5 professionals
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within Finance department
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and Finance Technology Roadmap
  • Receives and provides guidance from peers and leadership team
  • Provides system guidance to business partners and stakeholders
  • Models and acts in accordance with the Starbucks guidance principles and strives to bring to life the Mission and Values

Summary of Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in systems support, management, development and implementation
  • Preferred experience for Anaplan, Hyperion Planning and Essbase, Oracle, Smart View and Anaplan
  • 3+ years of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) process transformation experience with preference in knowledge of close, consolidation, planning/forecasting and reporting
  • Demonstrated passion for data cleanliness, automated integrations and process improvements
  • Prior exposure in collaborating with finance and accounting teams to drive tool adoption and system acumen
  • Ability to prioritize competing deliverables and resourcing constraints to achieve deadlines
  • Prior management or supervision experience sets you above your competition
