Job Description
Ohio University’s
J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies in Video Game Design is seeking a full-time term, visiting instructional faculty member to teach six courses per year in our new Virtual Reality and Game Development undergraduate program. The ideal candidate will be able to predominantly teach game development courses, with a secondary strength in teaching other emerging technologies such as VR, AR, MR, 360° videos, immersive audio, or interactive storytelling. Expertise in programming games is required. Courses to be taught will range from beginner to advanced.
The successful candidate will have a portfolio of video games and interactive projects as well as teaching experience at the college level. The
J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies is home to the GRID Lab, a research and production facility that carries out projects that contribute to our academic mission. As a part of their service to the school, the candidate will advise students, be part of projects, and sit on thesis committees.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Game development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or terminal degree in a related field
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Ability to teach C# and Unity
- Experience with version control processes
