We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the industry and possess a strong skillset in the field of construction. The position requires extensive travel and candidates must be willing to work in different locations as required.
Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the construction of various projects across multiple locations. You will be required to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Overseeing the construction process from start to finish
- Ensuring that all safety regulations and protocols are followed
- Scheduling and coordinating all aspects of the construction process
- Communicating with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Preparing and submitting progress reports to project managers
- Ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained
- Managing project budgets and ensuring that expenses are kept within budgetary constraints
- Utilizing Procore to manage project documents and communication
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques
- Experience in managing retail construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in using Procore software
- Ability to travel extensively and work in different locations as required
- Ability to pass a medical examination and meet the physical demands of the job
