Our Software and System Validation Engineers are part of a vibrant cross-site team (US, Mexico, and Asia) who define validation strategies and develop the tests that we use to validate subsystem and platform integration for Intel's networking and server products across multiple roadmaps.
We support a range of Network Data Accelerators and platform Hardware applications with our experienced Pre and Post-Si engineers.
We are looking for a System Validation Intern to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Work with team members to drive execution toward tape-in quality power-on readiness and post-silicon validation.
- Work with virtual platform simulation, FPGA emulation, and real hardware to ensure the devices meet our customers' specifications and use cases.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
Length of internship estimate is 24 months with a possibility to extend.
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a Master's or PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Previous internship experience.
- 6+ months experience in:
- Programming languages: Python scripting or C/C++
- Computer Architecture
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with System and Software Validation of Network Accelerators
- Experience with HW RTL and Software Debug
- Experience with Agile Development, and Software development process
- GitHub experience
- Experience with Simics, Virtual Platforms, Emulation Platform usage
- Previous internship in Validation field

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
