Job Description:

We’re looking for a talented web developer who is capable of taking hi-fidelity mockups from our UX/UI Design team and producing high quality web interfaces. This role shall participate in design reviews, produce high quality code, and review the code of their peers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide thoughtful feedback during design reviews to improve our products.
• Contribute to project scheduling and project planning discussions related to web development tasks.
• Develop high quality modular and re-usable components for use throughout our web products.
• Conduct code reviews of peer pull requests.
• Perform assigned development tasks within a sprint.
• Help decompose web development tasks into stories, based off designs provided by the UX/UI team.
• Mentor fellow teammates and developers on the team to help them produce high quality code.
• Research current industry trends to help keep our software practices, technologies, and methodologies up to date.

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience.
• CSS3 expert.
• HTML5 expert.
• SPA technology expert in Angular, Vue, React, etc. (bonus points if you are an expert in Angular).
• Familiar with Bootstrap (all our web projects currently use Bootstrap).
• Experience using GIT.
• Understands HTTP Methods and best practices for integrating with REST APIs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with JIRA for task tracking.
• Familiar with the Scrum process.
• Familiar with modern branching strategies in GIT, requires no assistance for handling merge conflicts.
• Understands Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) and their impacts with SPAs and multiple back-end APIs.
• Ability to provide a portfolio of past projects where you were the primary developer.
• Experience implementing Section 508 User Accessibility Standards into Websites.
