Are you a skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technologist (Microbiology) looking for a new opportunity? A highly reputable 500+ bed acute care hospital near the Coast of Eastern Virginia, is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join their team.
As a Senior Laboratory Technologist (Microbiology), you will perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes. You will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing daily technical operations including staff training and education, implementation of instrumentation, accreditation readiness, and project plans and time lines with the Laboratory Manager approval. Additionally, you will be responsible for the immediate supervision, training, and competency assessment of laboratory staff and students.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution, along with ASCP or AMT certification. Three (3)+ years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist are required.
Candidates who have a master's degree and/or previous leadership experience in an acute care setting are highly preferred.
