Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Legacy Franchises IB Risk Oversight Head, Legacy Franchise MCA Architect is responsible for identifying operational risks along with establishing and maintaining a support infrastructure to monitor controls for the Legacy Franchises operating segment prior to and during divestitures. The Architect, partnering with the PBWM Architect and Citi Holdings Architect, are jointly responsible for supporting the oversight of Legacy Franchises’ Management Governance Entity and Assessment Unit architecture, and standardization of specific content related to divestiture.
This position will be a critical strategic role to ensure the risk profiles within the Legacy Franchises businesses are fully understood and managed appropriately. As a First Line of Defense function this person will need to build trusted relationships with Business Leaders, Process Owners, Regional and Global colleagues as well as Second and Third Line partners. The position requires a thorough understanding of strategic direction of the Legacy Franchises segment combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Job Background/context:
Legacy Franchises is a global operating segment that comprises the consumer businesses we intend to exit across APAC, EMEA and Mexico, as well as the APAC and EMEA regional consumer team and legacy non-core assets. The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) within Legacy Franchises is responsible for the risk and control framework across Legacy Franchises.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner directly with Global resources with businesses, regions and functions to ensure appropriate coverage of risks within MCA for Legacy Franchise
- Work directly with Operational Risk Management (ORM) and other 2 LoD partners to ensure alignment with and compliance to relevant global policies and framework.
- Coordinate execution through architects within Legacy Franchises regions (Mexico, APAC/EMEA, Citi Holdings) and PBWM Architect team to implement strategies consistent with divestiture stage (Pre Legal Day 1, Servicing post divestiture).
- Represent Legacy Franchises in Global forums related to MCA Architecture and MCA Transformation
- Support Audits, Reviews and Regulatory Examinations as needed
- Manage additional projects and tasks as assigned by management

Knowledge/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in financial services industry with broad exposure to Operational / Compliance risks and Internal Control.
- Deep experience with divestitures of business working across multiple geographies, regions, and markets.
- Deep knowledge of Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) management and billing at a global level.
- Experience preparing and migrating risk and control frameworks post LD2
- Knowledge of policies pertaining to Operational Risk Management.
- Experience working with key Risk & Control systems from a global perspective.
- Experience working in/with multiple segments, markets, geographies and products.
- Strong network within other lines of defense and other areas including Legacy Franchises Management
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

- Strong understanding of how Control and Governance processes interact with main Control Key Drivers such as Operational Risk Events, Issues and Risk Concentration.
- Excellent oral communication skill with ability to create strong networking, build partnership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications:
- Degree in in Finance, Business Admin, Accounting, Economic or Technology related
- Experience on partnering with regional stakeholders and/or additional projects in other regions.
- Ability to build trustworthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, including strong facilitation and presentation.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to bridge business requirements with an end-to-end perspective.
- Strong team player with a passion for collaboration across the firm
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams on the development of frameworks and strategies for risk management and operational loss assessment.
- Ability to lead teams, keep them motivated and goal-oriented, influencing the entire franchise.
- Advanced use of MS Office Tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
