Job Description

We are looking for a Hotel Reservationist who is responsible for the efficient operation of in-house reservations through the selling of guest rooms and maximization of revenues, processing reservations in a timely manner following Departmental Standards, and answering reservation inquiries in a friendly and courteous manner.
Responsibilities:
- Process all group contracts from the Events Department. Obtains data from various sources, including (but not limited to) faxes, electronic messages and handwritten lists.
- Enter group blocks into the system and verifies the correctness of data entered versus the date received.
- Process and handle group rooming lists and reservations by inputting data into the system.
- Follows up with the Events or Sales team regarding questions that stem from groups.
- Monitor Group Blocks after they have been entered into the system.
- Update Group Pickup Report for review and analysis in weekly meetings
- Book and service room only bookings, including Events, Catering blocks, small meetings, etc.
- Answer calls, and return emails and voicemails as it pertains to reservations.
- Serves as liaison between HRW reservations for Reservations Call Center agents and Hotel employees.
- Assists with problems or concerns from guests as they pertain to reservations within the hotel.
- Applies service recovery if needed.
- Maintains suite reservation request process and inventory controls for specialty bed types as they pertain to group blocks.
- Pre-assigns Group and FIT special requests to ensure guest satisfaction and to maximize revenue
- Work with and Pre-assign the house for VIPs, Diamond Members, Gold members, and Nor1 request no less than 5 days in advance of every arrival date.
- Revenue Management, Pick-up, Pre-Con and other designated meetings as required.
- Assists with Front Desk functions as dictated by business needs.
