Lower School Preschool Director

Our growing, private school serves children from preschool through 5th grade. Our school is licensed by the Department of Education and currently holds a Star 4 rating with Keystone Stars. We occupy a 70,000 sq ft facility with a Science Lab, Art room, Music room, and Dance/Movement studios that accommodate more than 250 children, with space for growth. We are currently looking for an innovative Preschool Director with a commitment and passion for Early Education. Working alongside Head of School and Enrollment Specialist, this is a team position. The primary responsibility of the Lower School Director is to direct and provide oversight and management within the early childhood program.

The Director reports to the Head of School and Owner to ensure that the lower school operates according to the highest standards in early childhood education using the DOE, DHS, Keystone Stars 4, and NAEYC standards. Must have Teaching Strategies knowledge.

The Lower School Director will implement a curriculum that the children will respond to positively while also partnering with our professional education team to enhance the school learning environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.

  • Establish and maintain program excellence, performance, and evaluation
  • Ensure all contracts, licensing and compliance regulations/requirements are followed and in good standing
  • Provide leadership in fostering an atmosphere of respect, teamwork, and professional development
  • Assist in program staff recruitment to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and quality selection of staff
  • Maintain and grow program enrollment and attendance to achieve quality programmatic and fiscal goals
  • Assist in management of staff: Supervision, observations, reflective feedback, assist with all staff IPDP’s, evaluations and moral
  • Ensure that all staff are fully orientated on organizational expectations and job requirements to include the necessary Staff support, training, professional growth and development and retention
  • Assist in maintaining a high performing administration and be able to evaluate success in measurements that can be reported and effectively communicated
  • Assist in oversight of center expenses to align with projections and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Assist in providing daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Owner
  • Ensure that the facilities are well maintained and conducive to meeting children, family, and staff needs
  • Assist in delivery of services for all families and children via orientation, shared learning experiences, and supportive services

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must have strong leadership skills, be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, have a sense of humor and passion for early education, and must have the ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and children

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and PA Teachers' Certification in ECE and Director's Credential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
