Job Description
We are looking for responsible Special Police Officers for a floater position, for IMMEDIATE HIRE, to maintain law and order, protect clients, and improve client's quality of life. The goal is to achieve client and community safety. *LP responsibilities are not required (no stops, detainments, barring, or arrests. Just protect the staff from hostile encounters)*
Responsibilities
- Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibility patrol
- Protect the staff
- Observe and respond to hostile encounters with staff
- Follow rules, guidelines, and protocols
- Report incidents in a timely manner and follow proper chain of command
Skills
- Proficiency in using police equipment (9mm firearm certification a MUST)
- Excellent knowledge of standard operating procedures, as well as DC Code
- Knowledge and skills of security/law enforcement principles and practices
- Adequate interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Sound judgement along with effective decision-making skills
- Conflict resolution, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
- Responsibility, dependability, honesty, and integrity
- Willing to submit to extensive medical and criminal background checks
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Open/flexible availability
- High school degree

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Washington, DC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
License/Certification:
- District of Columbia Special Police Officer License (Required)
