Job Position:Payroll Coordinator


Purpose: Under the direction of the Controller, the Payroll Coordinator performs tasks to process accurate and timely payrolls, maintains employee data, responds to payroll questions and post entries to journals and ledgers.


Responsibilities

  • Enter and process weekly payroll using applicable payroll software.
  • Ensure compliance to internal controls and adherence to company payroll policies.
  • Calculate, track and record, paid time off, overtime, per diems, garnishments, and other exceptions as they arise.
  • Evaluate and update current payroll systems.
  • Enter general ledger information for payroll, deposits, and adjustments.
  • Serve as backup to accounts payable and receivable as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years applicable payroll experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exposure to Procore, Viewpoint Spectrum and Traqspera software is beneficial.
  • Experience with Paychex payroll processes
  • Knowledge of finance principles and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word applications.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
