As Pastry Chef, your leadership, creativity, and culinary skills will inspire your team to create spectacular desserts that bring every meal to a memorable (and delectable) end.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Exhibits strength in taking direction from the Executive Chef
- Help plan, organize, and work with other associates responsible for preparation of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, breads, chocolates, and showpieces while ensuring superior quality and consistency.
- May assist in the planning and development of menus for the resort; ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration.
- Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by the resort, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.
Qualifications:
- College Degree preferred
- 2+ years of previous experience in culinary positions specializing in pastry design and creation.
