Job Description
Overview:
The Custodian is responsible for the detailed cleaning of the park grounds including the entertainment areas, parking lots, backstage areas, and all attractions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the cleanliness of the park grounds through a variety of detailed cleaning tasks such as cleaning the exterior of all park facilities, using sweeping equipment, hoses, and blowers to clean the park grounds, cleaning and removing debris from parking lots, planters, and backstage areas, and cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking the restroom facilities with supplies as needed.
- Operates machinery related to maintaining park cleanliness including pressure washers, carpet machines, trash compactors, and cardboard balers; operates multiple vehicles including pick-up trucks, vacuum trucks, tractors, and forklifts (not immediately applicable to all employees).
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on various types of hand and power equipment; notifies the Team Leader if there are any repairs that need to be made or safety concerns to be addressed.
- Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
- Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Hourly range – $17.25/per hour-$19.23/per hour. Standard benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, 401K, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.
Qualifications:
This position requires the following education and experience, or an equivalent combination of both:

Qualifications:
- Ability to work a graveyard shift. (12:30am-9:00am)
- Ability to operate janitorial equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
