Montereau of Tulsa, OK is seeking to hire a full-time Medical Records Assistant to handle all electronic personal health information (ePHI) appropriately to ensure our residents' confidential information is kept safe and that we are HIPAA compliant. WORK SCHEDULE

The schedule for this office position is Monday - Friday, 9am - 2:30pm (25 hours/week).

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL RECORDS ASSISTANT

As a Medical Records Assistant, nothing brings you more pleasure than keeping things orderly. You are in charge of collecting, reviewing, and validating resident information to make sure that it is complete and medical charts are properly assembled. Conducting daily rounds to all nursing care bases, you gather resident medical records and discharged resident charts that need to be filed. With great attention to detail, you scan, maintain, and validate records in the EHR system. To ensure accuracy, you assist with quality checks. Additionally, you process the release of information. Because you strive to maintain strict patient confidentiality, you ensure proper approval before releasing any information. You thrive in our fast-paced office and people-driven environment. QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience maintaining medical records with an electronic medical records system is required
  • High School Diploma; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training is required
  • Strong understanding and adherence to state and federal HIPAA regulations and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
  • Health Information Technology certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in EHR software, specifically MatrixCare, is also preferred
