Position Summary

ONLY SEEKING CANDIDATES WHO RESIDE IN THE METRO ATLANTA AREA.

The Manager, Atlanta Initiatives will plan, coordinate, design, implement and manage operational activities of Capital Impact Partners programmatic work in the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan region. This position will work closely with the Lending, Investment, and CDC Small Business teams to also identify, recommend, develop and implement programmatic activities in alignment with Capital Impact’s Atlanta-Georgia strategy. The Manager, Atlanta Initiatives reports to the Director, National Diverse Developers Program Lead.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design, launch and oversee the implementation of the Equitable Development Initiative learning series in the City of Atlanta, in collaboration with the National Diverse Developers Program lead
• Identify staffing and contractor needs to support the EDI and other programmatic activities
• Manage overall budgeting, scoping and contracting of local consultants to deliver in accordance with scopes of work
• Ensure timely implementation of programmatic activities at all phases
• Maintain all records of programmatic activities and maintain open communication with implementing partners for a healthy working relationship
• Support evaluation efforts of programs in Atlanta and the immediate surrounding counties and utilize results to inform improvements for future programming
• Support Communications team to ensure timely update of program activities, communication material, multimedia activities, press releases, etc.
• Oversee timely collection of program results from implementing partners
• Prepare and deliver program reports to funding organizations and senior management
• Coordinate with the Impact, lending and investment teams to inform place based market needs, contribute to place-based strategy, and make loan referrals to the lending and investment teams, as opportunities are identified
• Identify, cultivate, build and manage relationships with external stakeholders and other community groups to further the reach of the program
• Coordinate with Development Team to cultivate local funder relationships and support the development of funding proposals with specific local content
• Facilitate flow of information among all program partners with regular meeting arrangements, distribution of meeting minutes and other updates
• Using the Catalyzing Finance for Racial Equity (CFRE) framework, build community trust and raise the visibility of community-based strategies to improve equity and well-being
• Represent CIP/Momentus Capital at local community events by sharing PowerPoint presentations, and/or written material

Professional Skills, Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of professional experience working in community and economic development for individuals, businesses and communities or 9 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, detail-oriented, and judgment skills.
• Strong operational execution skills (planning, project management, problem-solving, etc.)
• Strong written and oral communication skills (e.g., presentations, conference calls, virtual meetings, periodic reports)
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Experience designing, scaling and managing people and capacity building programs
• Knowledge/experience with commercial real estate, affordable housing, or related field
• Knowledge/experience of working in a CDFI or banking, with an understanding of lending and or investments, preferred
• Inclusive and comfort interacting with diverse audiences

• Proficient in Microsoft programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Google Docs/ Sheets)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel 10% or less required
