Summary of Job Duties:
The Licensed Master Social Worker is a clinical position in a specialized sexual abuse treatment program. The successful applicant will work within a seasoned treatment team providing diagnostic assessments as well as outpatient individual, family, and group treatment for child sexual abuse victims and their families (including evidenced-based approaches), youth who have committed sexual offenses and their families, and children with sexual behavior problems and their families. He or she will provide information, crisis intervention, and referrals for families seeking services.

- Implements therapeutic interventions with clients, including individual, group, marital, family, and other forms of psychotherapy.

Participates in treatment planning.

Conducts intake, historical, and diagnostic interviews; psychosexual assessments; and registration risk assessments, and makes appropriate diagnostic formulations and therapeutic recommendations.

Writes routine reports and evaluations detailing assessment, treatment, recommendations, etc.

Maintains adequate chart notes, documenting assessment/treatment activities, progress, and client status in a timely and efficient manner.

Attends team staffings and case conferences.

Completes additional clinical and programmatic documentation as directed.

Attends interagency meetings to coordinate service delivery and collaborates with other professionals directly involved with clients.

Professional relationships and responsibilities.

Completes continuing education activities as required by professional licensure.

Abides by privacy/confidentiality rules.

Demonstrates a cooperative relationship with program staff, DCFS and DHS staff, Juvenile Court staff, attorneys (ad litems and others), patients, caregivers, etc.
