We are seeking a Strategic Communications and Training Lead to support the National Guard located in Arlington, VA. An active Public Trust clearance is required prior to start.

The purpose of this initiative is supporting State and Territory POCs to collect environmental compliance and performance data regarding National Guard facilities. Tasks accomplished are to gather, analyze, and report statistics concerning power and water usage, energy efficiency data, and select security and resiliency information. After collecting the information, we'll train the client in best practices and compliance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide Advisory Council Support
    • Support quarterly Advisory Council meetings
    • Coordinate with both Facilities Engineering Advisory Council (FEAC) and Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) Chair/executive assistant regarding meetings and topics
    • Review Council meeting minutes and provide an executive summary (EXSUM) for ARNG-IEZ Leadership
  • Provide Training Support
    • Support management of the Construction and Facility Management Officer (CFMO) Certification courses (develop master schedule, register students, maintain attendance register, update SharePoint site, etc.)
    • Assist in the implementation and presentation of annual, other recurring, and one time training events for G-9 staff and ARNG State staff
    • Work with G-9 staff to develop a schedule for the Program Guidance Course (PGC), coordinate the Protocol Approval Process for each PGC.
    • Assist G-9 staff in the facilitation of conversion of traditional learning materials to alternate learning formats, such as Army Learning Model, video streaming and/or state of the art technology.
  • Develop an SOP for all CFMO, PGC, and training and Installations Logistics Environmental Training Center (ILETC) update annually as needed. Deliverable: Provide a document in MS Word to capture the intended training methods
  • Annual Journal Support
    • Provide administrative support for approval and distribution of the Annual Foundations of Readiness Journal
    • Research, author, and edit short vignettes
    • Create the Annual Journal by interviewing (in-person, telephonic, and/or video conferencing) ARNG personnel, which may require Contractor travel (2-3 times a year)
  • Newsletter Support
    • Manage the publication of the monthly newsletter
    • Manage the input into the State of the State (SoS) reports. The contractor shall provide monthly updates to the SoS schedule, work with ARNG-IEP leadership to ensure that SoS input is gathered from all ARNG-IEZ branches, and compile SoS reports and build an appropriate binder for ARNG-IEZ Directorate Chief.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university. Educational attainment beyond a four-year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of applicable experience conducting specific work products references in the above-listed responsibilities.
  • Strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and have proven data analysis skills.
  • Proven writing skills.
  • Ability to work on a team dedicated to achieving excellence for the government client.
  • Self-starter with proven and documented success in completing objectives under challenging conditions.
  • Ability to maintain and obtain an active Public Trust clearance prior to start. US Citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with work products in support of the National Guard Bureau as opposed to other agencies preferred.
