We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic occupational health nurse practitioner for our main campus located in Lake County, IL. The responsibilities include, management of clinical staff, development and implementation of site occupational health procedures, direct patient care, collaboration with health and safety team members to reduce work-related injuries and educating the workforce about the requirements to minimize the risks.

Occupational Health Nurse Responsibilities:

• Lead Occupational Health Program in Lake County IL
• Conducts surveillance exams of workers by history, examination, and diagnostic tests.
• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within the scope of practice.
• Provide direct patient care:
  • Medical surveillance exams
  • Travel health consultations
  • Case management
• Promoting worker productivity by developing and implementing health procedures.
• Educating and training employees in the risks they may face.

Occupational Health Nurse Requirements:

• A nurse practitioner, with full practice licensure
• 5 years of occupational health, urgent care or emergency experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Demonstrated ability for effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority
• Requires a minimum of an MSN (Master of Science in Nursing).
