Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries.

Our Information Systems team has several open positions for hands-on industrial or mechanical engineers to help us develop and improve information systems (SAP) in support of manufacturing operations. In this position, you will define operations workflows, implement configurations in SAP, design reports and dashboards, and train shop floor employees to use cutting edge technology driven by SAP. As our company continues to grow and improve, you will also work to find employee workflow bottlenecks within our information systems. In addition, you will help implement new technologies that support our manufacturigng operations, design improvements, and execute changes that will involve SAP, PowerBI, SQL, and end-user hardware like tablets and barcode scanners.

You will work on projects in a wide range of areas related to aircraft manufacturing, composite tooling, and composite parts production. Key areas include:

  • Production planning
  • Parts production
  • Electronic work orders
  • Bill of materials
  • Quality management / First article inspection
  • Supply chain and warehousing

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The following essential job functions are performed as an Industrial Engineer:

  • Review and develop efficient cost-effective processes for manufacturing.
  • Creates and manages business requirement documents and other program related artifacts.
  • Works collaboratively with multiple areas within the organization and is comfortable being part of a cross functional workgroup.
  • Synthesizes information from multiple sources to accurately identify root cause and propose data driven solutions.
  • Assists in the development, documentation, and status reporting on Improvement implementation plans.
  • Engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Clear, concise thinking.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (4-year, on-campus, competitive, ABET accredited program)
  • Entry level or experienced
  • Must hold an active Security+ certification or be able to obtain within three months.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
