Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner II to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home role. You must reside in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina or Florida. If you reside in the Atlanta area, you will go into the office at least one day/week.

The Role:

The Human Resources Business Partner ("HRBP") II is a thought leader and partner to people managers in Mobility. They will partner with our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team by developing a deep understanding of the acquired organization and aligning the HR function to achieve our strategic objectives from a "people" perspective. They are responsible for performing HR-related activities on a professional level and work closely with business and HR leaders. They will take direction from the HRBP Lead for M&A, provide input to assigned workstreams, and serve as the primary back-up to the HRBP Lead. In addition, the HRBP II will take on other projects and activities in support of the Mobility HRBP team. To be successful in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented, organized, able to problem solve, and have a focus on the employees we support as well as their experience during integration.

Responsibilities:


  • Consult with business leadership in understanding organizational goals, objectives, and systems. Analyze and evaluate policies, procedures, and programs to identify successes and deficiencies and recommend changes.
  • May serve as the day-to-day HR contact for some acquisition and/or integration activities. Be a partner to the acquired business and collaborate with existing HR and leadership on integration activities including workforce planning, compliance, HR system integration, job mapping, employee support, onboarding, and other activities.
  • Work collaboratively. Partner with the M&A team and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to provide guidance and input on integration activities. Collaborate in the development, design, alignment, management, implementation and/or administration of consistent and compatible policies and best practices when aligning the two organizations.
  • Be a change advocate. Partner with the Change Management team to understand and drive the best employee experience from acquisition through post integration. Be an advocate for the employee and the business with the "people" perspective.
  • Be organized and planful. The HRBP II is critical in supporting the HRBP Lead for M&A, the acquired target (HR and/or operations leader(s), and Mobility HRBPs. manage/prioritize/accomplish day-to-day and integration activities.
  • Identify friction points and employee impacts. Communicate findings and recommended solutions to your leader.
  • Support the Mobility HRBP team such as scheduling exit interviews, I-9 completion, tracking and following up with employees on training activities, and pulling reports.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' progressive experience in HR disciplines with a strategic focus. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
  • Working knowledge of various state and federal employment laws needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with varying levels of employees and provide excellent customer service internally
  • Must demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and out of the organization
  • Must be able to perform job duties independently, exercising good judgment and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision, maintain confidentiality, and take initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically disbursed and matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
