The Boulders is actively looking for a dynamic Beverage Manager for a world-renowned Hilton Curio Collection Resort. The property is well accredited Nationally and Internationally with tremendously successful and top-notch Food and Beverage outlets and services. Previous experience in the stated position is preferred.

The Boulders Resort and Spa is a large, high-end resort that spans an impressive 33,000 sq. ft. Offering a luxurious spa, championship golf, and exclusive service in a uniquely dramatic setting – 1,300 acres of the Sonoran Desert foothills with panoramic views of 12 million-year-old boulder formations. The Beverage Manager reports to the Executive Chef and is responsible for leading front-of-the-house operations and short- and long-term planning of the Resort beverage program. They will also be responsible for creating organizational planning, driving cleanliness standards, and guiding the overall vibe of the bar space. The role requires creativity, great people skills, and knowledge of beverage and labor cost controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Effectively create and control the beverage program.
  • Manage beverage outlets in terms of product, waste, and service efficiency.
  • Prepare variance analysis for bar programs and communicate with relevant departments.
  • Update and maintain systems.
  • Check and verify cross-departmental transfers.
  • Check cost of sales and ensure costs are within budget.
  • Audit beverage reports accordingly.
  • Spot check all meal periods to ensure consistency and quality of beverage offering.
  • Develop, cost, train, and input recipes.
  • Train teams on implementation of standards for bar organization and cleanliness.
  • Update POS (Micros) as needed.
  • Any other tasks required by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of beverage program management experience with cost control procedure responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume operation.
  • Experience in the creative process of designing and executing a hotel or restaurant beverage program.
  • Experience with Micros is a plus.
  • Current holder or ability to obtain TIPS certification upon hiring.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills.
