Job Description
Base Pay with Benefits and Retirement Plan.
Target Compensation $100,000-$120,000/year.
Development
- Hire and conduct performance reviews of recruiting personnel for the network or district network office
- Develop RFDs in-network or district network office in all aspects of recruiting and selection
- Facilitate LEAD modules on recruiting and selection
- Train new leaders and recruiters in all steps of the selection process
- Work closely with the Managing Partner or Managing Director to identify, train and develop members of the leadership team involved in recruiting
Leadership
- Ensure the recruiting goals of the network or district network office are met through training and developing all personnel with recruiting responsibilities
- Guide leadership team in developing specific recruiting strategies and activities necessary to reach network or district network office recruiting goals
- Monitor activity and results of the leadership team, and hold members accountable for their particular recruiting roles and responsibilities
- Participate in company and industry training programs and work to improve the recruiting and selection skills of the leadership team
- Direct and supervise the recruiting activities of the team (Recruiter, Director of Recruitment, Campus Recruiter and/or Recruiting Coordinator)
- Determine and manage office’s annual recruitment budget • Create and execute an annual development plan that enhances personal, professional, and network or district network office growth
- Lead and facilitate regular (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) meetings with the leadership team, and ensure necessary reports are provided Rev 06/21
Sourcing
- Build and develop effective referral sources with FRs/staff, develop productive centers of influence (COIs), and develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources (i.e. referrals, COIs, advertising, career fairs, social media, etc.)
- Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to promote Northwestern Mutual financial representative career
- Promote the benefits of network growth and recruiting successes within network or district network office
- Direct recruitment advertising and marketing strategies (ads, direct mail, community events, etc.) • Establish relationships with peers across the system to share leads and best practices
Selection
- Master information and language regarding all aspects of the financial representative career and each step of the selection process
- Oversee the process of resume review and interview scheduling
- Specific selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates, conducting initial and subsequent interviews as needed
- Direct candidates through the selection process and series of interviews with other network or district network office management and representatives
- Maintain integrity and consistency of the selection process
- Oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of the office’s selection process; identify and lead implementation of improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree is acceptable)
- Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in recruiting; experience in the financial services or related industry is desired
- Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others
- Proven ability to lead, manage and develop others
