The Boulders Resort and Spa is a large, high-end resort that spans an impressive 33,000 sq. ft. Offering a luxurious spa, championship golf, and exclusive service in a uniquely dramatic setting - 1,300 acres of the Sonoran Desert foothills with panoramic views of 12 million-year-old boulder formations. The Boulders Resort and Spa is part of the Hilton Curio Collection.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our leadership team as Director of Food and Beverage. The Director of Food and Beverage is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example and continuously encourage and engage their team members. The Director will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of the hotel Food and Beverage operation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality of a 4-star resort.
  • Help select, train and develop associates to ensure quality recruitment, retention, and career growth that leads to top service performers.
  • Planned, directed, assign and delegate responsibility for all functions of the Food & Beverage department areas to meet daily operational needs and guest expectations.
  • Monitor all guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits.
  • Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
  • Develop workable systems for inventory, receiving and product utilization (product cost).
  • Value everyone’s contribution to the team, and we will value your contribution as a key part of our success.
  • Ensure communication is key and ensure daily stand-up meetings are held with associates in the various Food & Beverage department areas. Passing along important information for them and giving them a voice in the process.
  • Manage monthly forecasts and administer operations in a fiscally responsible manner and be creative in how you drive revenues.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to be creative with the menu offerings to create a destination-of-choice environment for both hotel and external guests.
  • Look to increase revenues through the production and implementation of creative promotional programs, as well as upselling of options.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork, and implement schedules to balance the need to manage business needs as well as associates’ needs.
  • Meet with functional group leaders within the Food and Beverage departments to ensure everyone is prepared and headed for the same goals.
  • Collaborate with Event Sales to ensure proper service to clients during banquets.
Requirements/Expectations:
  • 4+ years experience in a leadership role in Food and Beverage at a high-end Resort.
  • Ability to encourage, lead and manage a team by example.
  • Knowledge of food, wine, sales, Invoicing etc.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, and a high level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility.
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
