We are currently seeking a long term fit for a Full-Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant on our growing team! Come join our friendly, patient centered private practice in the heart of St. Petersburg!

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to our practice
  • Chairside assisting of the doctor and assisting other team members as needed
  • Patient education
  • Preparing and reviewing treatment plans with patients
  • Sterilization of instruments
  • Fabrication of temporary crowns and bridges
  • Taking digital x-rays as well as extraoral and intraoral photographs
  • Ordering dental supplies
  • Scheduling of patient appointments
  • Data entry into practice management software

Requirements & Desired Skills:

  • Current Florida EFDA certificate and CPR certificate
  • Must be efficient in fabrication of temporary crowns & bridges
  • Knowledge of dental practice management software – Curve knowledge is a plus!
  • Must be very proficient with accurate data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fast typing speeds and proficient computer skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Job Type:

  • Full-time, 34-40 hours per week
  • Payroll is biweekly

Required education and experience:

  • High school or equivalent
  • 2 years in dentistry as EFDA (required)
