What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will use mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to identify trends and areas of improvement, support decision-making, and improve program effectiveness for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol. The Data Scientist is expected to conduct long-term predictability modeling and may oversee a team of experienced data analysts.

The Data Scientist must have the following experience:

• Leading comprehensive program evaluations, gathering and analyzing data to identify trends, and reporting on performance, gaps, opportunities, and insights of multiple programs across a portfolio

• Aggregating, cleaning, and organizing datasets from disparate sources

• Conducting data and statistical analysis to identify key performance indicators and meaningful insights

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate regression, and simulation

• Performing statistical analysis and modeling using R or other statistical software

• Developing and overseeing the development of data visualizations to communicate findings, trends, and indicators to senior leaders using Tableau/PowerBI/Qlik

• Determining and executing the appropriate analytical methods

• Overseeing a team to conduct data analysis

• Organizing and leading client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items

• Managing multiple, concurrent assignments, while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products

What You Will Need:

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust

• 5 years of relevant experience

• Bachelor's degree
