We are a leading power distribution company, located in Colstrip, MT, that is urgently hiring for a Control Room Operator Trainee.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Control Room Operator and Journeyman System Operator. If you have a background in steam plant operations, or a related field we'd love to hear from you!

Job Details
-

• Proven knowledge of steam plant systems and scrubber operations
• Ability to operate individual systems in the plant to support unit operation during normal operating conditions, start-ups, and shutdowns
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have completed the Journeyman System Operator (JSO) requirements; Minimum 3 years power plant experience, or equivalent heavy industrial operations experience; or, Completion of a formal coal-fired power plant apprenticeship/training program with a minimum of 6000 hours on the job training.
• Must have a current State of Montana 1st Class Boiler License, or be able to obtain one in the 1st six months
• Must have basic computer skills.

License or Certificate Requirements:

1. Valid Drivers’ License
2. Passed or be able to pass the PPL Skilled Trades Testing/EEI MASS testing.
3. Must pass the associated knowledge test, written and/or practical.
