Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist
Location: New London, CT
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our client’s laboratory team in New London, CT. Our client is a leader in the healthcare industry and offers a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Job Description:
- Perform moderately and highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases
- Verify accuracy and validity of test results
- Monitor quality control of laboratory equipment and specimen and perform preventive maintenance
- Properly document and record all laboratory procedures
- Maintain laboratory supplies inventory
- Follow laboratory safety procedures
- Provide technical assistance to laboratory personnel
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Clinical Lab Scientist certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and practices
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices
