Myticas Consulting is currently seeking Network Cybersecurity Admin for a contract position with our direct client at Lemont, IL (Hybrid).

Summary: Assist the networking engineer staff with managing the network and resolving cyber issues.
Project Objectives and Key Benefits
The key objectives for this project are:
- Assist network engineers with IP Address assignment, DHCP management, DNS management, network switch configuration, resolve network and cyber tickets, update and write scripts.
- Manage cyber applications such as Splunk, Tenable scanners, firewalls and Access Control Lists.
The key benefits for this project are:
- Provide additional support to the network engineers to alleviate some of their workload and provide more efficient user response.
- Enhance and improve existing cyber tools and scripts to improve the security posture.
Vendor Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Network Support:
- At least 5 years of experience in networking
- Have extensive knowledge in the 7 layers of OSI model for networking.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of IPv4 address subnetting and basic knowledge of IPv6
- Ability to configure network switches HPE/Aruba or Cisco IOS.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network systems
- Create network drawings and provide documentation.
- Ability to write and debug scripts in Perl and/or Python
- Proficient knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience using Wireshark to debug network issues.
Cyber Security Support:
- Experience using Splunk for analysis of system and network logs
- Ability to create and debug Access Control Lists (ACLs) on network routers
- Familiarity with using network scanners such as Tenable
- Experience configuring firewalls
- Respond to cyber requests and provide documentation
- Provide regular status updates on progress and issues
- Documentation and knowledge transfer of all design, configuration, and deployment activities
APS Responsibilities:
- Communicate project needs and priorities to the vendor's staff
- Provide access to APS systems, servers, and other resources, as required
- Designate and make available appropriate subject matter exports and technical resources in a timely fashion
- Provide all hardware
- Provide any software licenses that might be required
- Provide administrative access to systems necessary for deployment and version management
- Proved any changes to application or web server environments to support the successful deployment of updated applications
- Communicate to end users when changes are made
- Provide vendor's employee(s) with the appropriate remote network/system access as required.
