Job Description

Criminal Defense Sales Attorney

Do you want to be a part of the fastest-growing criminal defense team in Florida that helps people with the most challenging parts of their lives – but are weary of the traditional practice of law and the demands of being in the courtroom constantly?

Do you love building relationships with clients, but have you come to hate the daily grind of running from court to depositions, and motions and constantly spending your weekends preparing for trial?

If you answered "yes" to BOTH of those questions, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

While our attorneys are in court and working on our client’s cases, we need an experienced attorney to serve as our sales attorney - that’s where you come in! Criminal Defense experience is not necessary, we can easily teach that.

At Rossen Law Firm, we conduct "Strategy Sessions," not traditional "consultations." We take the time to listen to our prospective clients. We get to know them and build a relationship based on trust.

If this gets you excited, you’ll love working with us and our amazing team of attorneys and staff.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $140,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategy sessions with potential clients over the phone, via Zoom, and in person.
  • Give detailed, expert legal analysis, create a customized defense strategy, and educate potential clients on criminal law and procedure.
  • Build relationships with our new clients in order to help them achieve their best future
  • Work with our intake team to sign up new cases, five days a week.
  • Supervise our intake team and liaise with the leadership team and criminal defense attorneys
  • Input detailed case notes and follow-up tasks in our world-class paperless practice management software.
  • Conduct kick-off calls to successfully introduce our new clients to the legal team.
  • Attend business development activities such as conferences, lectures, and networking events.

Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated interest and passion for helping others. You don't need criminal law experience, we can teach you that. But you must bring your WHY to the firm and show a passion for helping people facing the most difficult times of their lives. (I’m saying here, have a story about why this really matters to you – not I've always loved the show "Law and Order" and I think working in a criminal law firm is really cool.)
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A lot of businesses say this, but we run at a very fast speed.
  • Experience in handling DUI, misdemeanor, and felony cases or a serious interest in learning Florida law from our amazing team of attorneys.
  • Ability to issue spot potential 4th, 5th, and 6th amendment constitutional law violations.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Empathetic and compassionate attitude.
  • Responsible, self-initiating with proven ability to work independently.
  • An extroverted personality that is unafraid to meet new people for business development
