At the University of Nebraska Foundation, we grow relationships and resources that enable the University of Nebraska to change lives and save lives. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support end users daily as you assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical application issues. You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. Ways you’ll make an impact:

  • Build rapport with and provide support to end users by managing escalated service requests by the Foundation’s Service Desk team. Provided support will be onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.
  • Create and implement solutions for core applications and analyze existing systems while making proactive recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external users to creatively problem solve and resolve complex issues.

What you need:

  • Education: Associates degree or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 1-5+ years’ experience in software support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (IIS, SQL, .NET) preferred.
  • Ability to create technical documentation in support of computer systems usage, or at least one year’s experience as a primary member of a computer system Service Desk or installation support team, with demonstrated success.
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • Highly adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and collaborate with others.
  • Ability to continuously look forward at the “big picture.”
